Welcome, I’m glad you’re here. Seeking support for your child is an important first step.

I am Ashleigh, an HPCSA-registered Educational Psychologist based in Howick, serving families across the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands and greater KZN. I offer compassionate support for children and adolescents experiencing learning, emotional, or behavioural challenges.

Through psychoeducational assessments, school readiness evaluations, exam consessions, therapeutic counselling, and subject and career guidance, I work alongside families to provide practical, personalised support that helps children thrive academically and emotionally.

My Services

A Psychoeducational Assessment is a comprehensive, deep-dive evaluation into a student’s cognitive, academic, and socio-emotional world. It is designed to bridge the gap between a student's potential and their actual performance.

A career assessment helps individuals better understand their interests, strengths, personality, and abilities in order to make informed decisions about their future studies or career path.

A school readiness assessment is a structured evaluation that measures the developmental, cognitive, emotional, and physical skills required for a child to cope with the demands of formal schooling.

A concession assessment is a specialised psychological assessment used to determine whether a learner qualifies for exam accommodations or concessions due to a learning difficulty, attention difficulty, or other barriers to learning.

A subject choice assessment helps learners choose the most suitable subjects when moving from Grade 9 to Grade 10. This is one of the most important academic decisions in the South African school system, as subject choices can influence future study opportunities, university admission requirements, and career pathways.

Counselling provides a safe, confidential space where individuals can explore their thoughts, emotions, and challenges with the support of a trained professional. I aim to improve wellbeing, strengthen resilience, and help individuals develop healthy ways of managing life’s challenges.

Workshops

Educational psychology workshops provide practical, evidence-based guidance for parents, teachers, and schools who want to better support children’s learning, emotional wellbeing, and development.
